Bunker play

Some good advice for bunker play is to try and make the depth of your bunker divots consistent. I like to see the divots quite shallow, helped by placing the ball position forward in your stance, using the bounce on the sole in this shot.

Look for your divots to be approximately a foot in length that will also give you a good guide to the correct depth.

Bunker rule:

Q) When approaching my ball in the bunker I stumbled and placed my club down in the sand to stop me from falling. What is the ruling?

A) You can use your club to help avoid a fall into the bunker as long as it is not classed as testing the conditions or improving your lie.
